Her extensive portfolio includes the Good Urban Development’s Mill City Affordable Housing project (50 homes), the Forest Forward land acquisition, and the 10th Street land trust acquisition strategy. As a woman of color in commercial real estate—a demographic representing less than 1% of industry leadership—Ferrell is pioneering a revolutionary development model that allows residents to actually own shares in local developments. Beyond her work as a developer, Ferrell is a seasoned educator dedicated to building the next generation of leaders. A full-time entrepreneur since 2010, she holds an MBA from Florida A&M University and has taught finance, accounting, and economics since 2003. Ferrell has a rare gift for making complex financial concepts simple, engaging, and accessible. To bridge the wealth gap, she recently launched Kingdom Legacy Academy and authored We Must Own, a step-by-step real estate investment manual. The Legacy Builder summer camp is the culmination of her life’s work: equipping youth with the exact real estate and business tools needed to build their own lasting legacies.

Carla D. Lankford is the Founder and Executive Director of Global Girl Voyagers (GGV), a Dallas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls through mentorship, leadership development, global travel, cultural engagement, and service-learning experiences. Through GGV and its signature G.L.O-Up Mentoring Program, Carla equips young women with the tools to build confidence, discover purpose, strengthen leadership skills, and become impactful voices within their communities. Her work centers on creating transformative experiences that expose youth to new opportunities while fostering emotional wellness, identity development, and civic engagement. Carla traveled with 7 South Dallas teen girls to Nairobi, Kenya for 10 days summer 2025. With more than a decade of experience serving youth and families, Carla has developed and led mentoring initiatives focused on girls’ empowerment, violence prevention, leadership training, and community outreach. Her background includes advocacy work with underserved populations, mentoring programs for teen girls, and national partnership engagement through the National CARES Mentoring Movement. Carla holds a Master of Divinity from The Interdenominational Theological Center and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Tennessee State University. A dynamic speaker, mentor, and community leader, she is passionate about helping the next generation lead with purpose, compassion, and global awareness.

TEEN Prosperity is led by founder Loquanet Roquemore, who brings more than 25 years of experience in accounting and financial services. She also serves in youth leadership through Kingdom Kids, the youth and teen ministry of Kingdom Fellowship Ministries. Loquanet combines professional experience with real-life lessons learned from her own financial journey. Having experienced both poor and successful financial stewardship, she is passionate about helping students develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to make wise decisions and prosper in life.

A native of Oak Cliff and resident of South Dallas, Lubbock Smith brings more than a decade of experience in business development, educational programming, and community outreach. Jay Taylor covers a variety of services that range from architecture, real estate development, and community urban design. Josue Contreras serves as the Young Life Area Director for the Pleasant Grove area and as a Community Financial Advocate with Watermark CDC. For over 13 years, he has led Young Life’s mission of introducing adolescents to Christ and helping them grow in their faith, working closely with students at Skyline, Spruce, Samuell, and Bryan Adams High Schools.

In 2023, Josue expanded his impact by stepping into his role as a Community Financial Advocate, where he equips individuals and families to become financially stable and “bankable.” His work includes helping people open their first bank accounts, repair credit, navigate the home-buying process, and support small businesses in accessing lending opportunities. A native of Sunny South Dallas, Josue is deeply committed to his community and is passionate about connecting others to resources that create long-term growth and opportunity.
